Welcome
Someone For Everyone was, or is I should say, my first attempt at writing... well, anything really. It was the first story that made it to my website, which started up at Tripod but then moved to aloneinthepretense.org. When I started writing it, it didn't have a general storyline, or real characters, or any direction whatsoever. After it's completion in early 2006, I had huge regrets about how it finished. I decided to edit it in July 2006, and this edit soon turned into a full rewrite. The story takes a slightly different direction to it's first journey, but hopefully all changes have been made for the better. I enjoyed writing (and rewriting) this story, so I hope you all enjoy reading it!

Outline
Maggie Taltoni had never been in love. Of course, she never bothered to try and find it, the thought of scaring off yet another man hardly inspiring her to put her heart on the line. Being single never used to bother Maggie; she knew she had enough drama in her life without adding a man to the equation. However, when her best friend falls head over heals in love, Maggie can't help but feel envious of her. Love seems to be everywhere she turns - at her place of work, amongst her family and her friends - and she begins to wonder why the beautiful phenomenon hasn't come her way. She begins to feel that she'll always be the only one without someone, until she's a wrinkly old woman with no one to preach to.
But what Maggie forgets, is that to find love, you must open your heart and let others into your life. What she finds is that there really is someone for everyone, even when it seems impossible.
